Teeth Whitening Treatment

A single visit for this treatment runs around 90 minutes, most of which is the whitening gel sitting on the teeth under a protective barrier for the gums. A local anaesthetic is not used, since the process is not invasive, though some patients feel mild sensitivity during the session. One appointment is usually enough, and a second is sometimes scheduled a few weeks later if the patient wants a further session rather than for clinical necessity. Afterward there is a short aftercare period, typically 24 to 48 hours, during which staining foods and drinks such as coffee or red wine are best avoided. The treatment is priced at 180 euro per session. It is not suitable for patients with certain gum conditions, exposed dental work at the front of the mouth, or untreated cavities, and this is checked at the appointment before starting.
